Sailor

Though he is a bit reserved at first, Sailor is a wonderful happy boy. Despite his size being a bit of a hindrance to agility, he learned to do the stairs within days, and readily goes up and down on his own. He will play with toys right up until he notices that you see what he is doing - what a hoot! His submissive nature makes correction a breeze, and he has had no accidents in the house, or altercations with his foster pack. He would be best homed either alone or with a confident, well adjusted dog.

Krissy

An accomplished racer, and now retired at age 4 1/2, Krissy is finding that retired life suits her just fine! She has learned all the basics of home life – stairs, leash walking, crating and she LOVES stuffies! Tummy rubs and sun bathing are also favorites, but storms and thunder are pretty scary. Krissy will not be suitable in a home with cats, but is getting along great with her fellow greyhounds. Follow her blog to learn more about this beautiful brindle lady!

Creedo

Creedo is a young girl, barely 2, who had a short racing career at two tracks, and then decided that retirement suited her fancy. She is fine with greyhounds, small dogs, and kitties. She loves treats and is very gentle taking them. Creedo will potty on lead, a big plus. She likes to play with stuffies, though she can be a bit rough with them! She has no space issues and will share her bed with the resident hound. She's a little shy, but is blossoming in her foster home. What a sweet, pretty girl she is!

Jaxon

While some greyhounds are very social, others are very shy and need a family willing to work with their fears, patiently earning trust, and finally sealing the bond that says “You’re home”. Jaxon is that very shy greyhound. At 3 1/2 yrs of age, his career ended with no known injuries, and he’s now in search of his very own family. While Jaxon is very shy at first, he does slowly accept human contact, and has come to really enjoy “rub downs”! He does best with a greyhound companion to give him confidence, and definitely will need a well-fenced yard. If you have a quiet household, and are looking for a greyhound to nurture and help grow into his potential, take a look at Jaxon. You could make a huge difference in his life!

Lucy

After a racing career that spanned four tracks, Lucy made her way to Nashville to find her home. She is fine with other greyhounds, small dogs, and cats; but would probably be OK as a single hound. Her foster family describes her as a kind and loving girl who is agreeable to having a fenced
yard or being leash walked. Sounds like the perfect little girl!

Abbey

No lady of a certain age should lose her home, much less twice. After zero races, Abbey was adopted at the age of 2. She was surrendered when her owner no longer had time for her. At 7, she was adopted again, but couldn't deal with little kids, so she's come to Nashville for a fresh start where she's hoping to find a home with someone who will forever love her tender ways and sweet face.

Cocoa

Cocoa’s career shows 45 races at Pensacola, but racing life did not suit her and she’s now moved to Nashville. This pretty red fawn girl is looking for a quiet home where she can enjoy life as a pet. Cocoa is not cat tolerant, but tested well with a small dog. She’s adjusting nicely to her foster home – she’s well behaved, does well on lead, great housebreaking, and not destructive. She is, however, a more timid girl, sensitive to loud noises, and just learning that human touch can be soothing. If you have “the touch”, Cocoa will learn to love and trust you, as you will learn to love her.

Charger is now in a foster home and learning about this next stage of his life, as we learn more about him. He will not work in a home with cats, but did do well when he met a small dog. He’s an energetic boy, but like all greyhounds, loves his nap time too. Follow Charger’s blog to learn more about this handsome 3 year old!

Brody

Blessed is he who knows the love of an old dog and Brody is looking for a good home where people will understand that. He's a sweetheart of a hound who lost his family recently under very stressful circumstances that had nothing to do with him. He's rebounded well after a hard week— eating, playing, seeking affection — thx to the hard work of his foster mom and much needed pain meds for his difficult mobility.
